This system was conceived by our client which is a media agency in New York. AARCHIK has been involved in image processing, graphics and other creative services with the client for more than 2 years. The client has a specialist image library of vintage imagery running into tens of millions of images and they have curated this catalog to bring these rediscovered relics of collective past back into public life. They have combed through collections, books, and archives
searching for images that connect you to the glorious. Past, maps that help you rediscover the origins of place, posters and ads that evoke a nearly lost moment in time.
During the process of working on the images, we found that for the transfer of images we had to rely on FTP, Dropbox and other external sources for transferring images, storing the images, we had to rely on emails for exchanging notes and hence the communicating was at risk to be exposed to external sources which could be detrimental for the vintage collection which were very rare in nature.
Hence we were tasked with the responsibility of creating a dedicated system that would be used solely between the client and our team for transferring images, storing information and sharing communication on the images.

Overview of the Solution
AARCHIK devised a completely dedicated system that enabled exchange of files over a dedicated IP and also the location was on two dedicated servers which stored the copies of the data at 2 different dedicated locations. Besides an archival database was set up at a local location which stored copies of images for a period of 2 years. The archival database was a DAM system which was based on the HADOOP stack.
The features of the system were as follows : • Buik uploading of images • Transparent assignment of images to resources
• Real time upload of status of images • Real time notes for the image feedback • Online Versioning of images with comments
• Real time Alerts on image status and progress
The mandate for the design of the solution was an interactive design. The design should be dynamic and should have larger than life feel for all the utilities. The special attractions of the system were to be showcased in full glory and with appropriate content.
Content That Engages
For the system we were involved in creating the right content for the messages, the forms and also the right content for the web app. We were also involved in the content for the marketing collaterals for the web app. For this particular engagement we were also involved in creating user based manuals, print based flyers and brochures. Further we also did some technical writing for the technical teams to maintain the app.
The Final Result
AARCHIK developed a comprehensive image processing system which helped smoothen and speed up the process of image works and resulted in an increase in efficiency of 45% reducing the process time from 3 hrs to less than an hour.
What They Say About Us
We have been working with AARCHIK for more than 2 years and they have been our creative, graphics and branding partner since day one and we have not looked for any other patner since last 2 years. We would be glad to recommend them to anyone looking for a stable and long tem partner.
