The client is a leading events and meetings organizer based in Europe. They regularly hold large music shows and events wherein there are large crowds and lot of ticket checking is involved. Further, even with QR code access, it was difficult to manage large crowds and there was a need for manpower at entrance to manage impatient crowds.

Overview

The client is a leading events and meetings organizer based in Europe. They regularly hold large music shows and events wherein there are large crowds and lot of ticket checking is involved. Further, even with QR code access, it was difficult to manage large crowds and there was a need for manpower at entrance to manage impatient crowds.

Business Need

The client was looking at image recognition softwares which would automatically scan the tickets displayed at different kiosks in the events to scan the tickets and verify them. This would ensure that the clients do not have to crowd at one junction and the ticket verification process is done rapidly. Further, there was also a premium category where the clients could opt for face recognition and could skip the ticket processing queues completely

While redesigning the user experience wasn’t the focus, we were able to make some enhancements to the global information architecture in order to improve ease of use of the platform.

Throughout this project, we worked very closely with product, development and marketing teams to ensure our UI art direction and responsive UI design system was inline with the new brand and would be implementable and scalable.

Ultimately, we were able to rapidly enhance brand perception of their platform and support sales enablement without having to design from the ground-up.

The UI redesign was therefore restricted by the limitations of the Telerik framework and involved a comprehensive audit of the framework and platform in order to understand how far the boundaries could be pushed.
